Partial Hike Up Lookout Mountain

Today I did a partial hike up Lookout Mountain.

I trudged along the rocky, sunlit trail up to Windy Saddle and then continued until the trail entered the piney woods.  There I stopped.  Finding a comfortable root by the side of the trail, I sat and enjoyed the cool air, the shade, and the scenery.  I can't share the feeling of the cool air or the shade, but here is a snapshot of the scenery from my vantage point sitting on the root.

This photograph was transferred from my old digital camera to a desktop computer at a public library.  I've figured out how to conveniently add photographs to the blog once again.
