Minor Accident on the Hogback

This morning I took advantage of the sunshine and mild temperatures to go hike the Hogback.  As I was finishing the hike I stopped before the final hill to photograph this vista.

The trail on the other side of this hill has a steep and treacherous offshoot that descends to the parking lot.  As I started cautiously down the offshoot, I made a misstep, lost my footing, and shot feet first like a toboggan down the hillside's corrugations of dirt and stubble.  Fortunately, I possess a shock-absorbing layer of fat that cushioned the body area most affected by the fall.  Nothing was damaged except my dignity.
