The weather report said blue skies and upper 70s today, and so I took advantage of this early November gift to hike in Castlewood Canyon. The scrub oaks still retained some of their brown leaves and made a pleasant addition to the scenery. Here is a photo that looks across the canyon to the slabs of horizontal rock on the far side.
The hike was very peaceful. However, I had to keep my wits about me in carefully stepping over rocks on the trail. Nature is unforgiving of careless footsteps.
