I hiked the Hardscrabble Trail this afternoon. Here is the scenic view from the trail.
Based on the name "Hardscrabble" I expected a tortuous path through boulders and rock shards. The actual trail was a level stretch of smooth, soft dirt. To paraphrase a quote from the great Leo Kottke: My feet were smiling.
